Get notified when breaking schema changes are detected — or when webhooks stop firing.
Webhook silence monitoring
Enable Webhook Silence Monitoring on an integration to get alerted when no events arrive within a threshold you choose (e.g. 15 minutes, 1 hour). This helps catch misconfigured endpoints, provider outages, or revoked credentials.
Free plan: Silence alerts appear in the dashboard only. Starter+: Slack and email notifications are sent.
Slack webhook alerts
Add a Slack incoming webhook URL in the Alert Channelssection on the integration page. When a breaking schema change is detected, HookHound sends a message to your Slack channel with:
- Integration name
- Event type
- Summary of the change
- Link to the schema change detail page
Email alerts
Add an email address in the Alert Channels section. Breaking change notifications are sent via email with the same details as Slack. Email alerts require a paid plan (Starter or above).
When alerts trigger
By default, alerts are sent only for breaking schema changes. Non-breaking changes (added fields, etc.) are recorded but do not trigger alerts.
Plan requirements
- Free — Slack alerts for schema changes. Silence alerts visible in dashboard only.
- Starter, Team, Business — Slack + Email for schema changes and silence alerts.
